Local investment, banking and insurance funds owned and managed by Black people will be expanded and new institutions established. A secondary market will also be established so that shares of these funds may be traded, to increase the funds available. Management boards of Black academics, bankers, financiers, community leaders, business owners and spiritual leaders will be elected to fixed terms, by each community and political jurisdiction to manage these funds. Compensation of board members will be based upon performance, as determined by their constituents. There will be annual reporting and public reviews of performance. Funds will be invested locally, nationally and internationally to fund and support businesses owned by Black people. The funds must be reinvested in the most beneficial, successful and appropriate companies and institutions in our communities. |
