The name Birth in the TraditionT was chosen because the service reflects the original midwifery model of care. We believe that pregnancy and birth is a normal and healthy part of a woman's life which should be treated that way unless, otherwise indicated.  Although pregnancy and birth is delicate in nature, it should not be overcome by fear and distrust as it is commonly done in our western culture.
